Neil and Johnathan are fully qualified and very experienced optometrists and can offer standard NHS eye examinations which are usually free to all UK residents. We offer both primary and supplementary (interim) examinations for patients coming for routine check ups through to management of both acute and chronic (longstanding) eye conditions.

We are both qualified Independent Prescribing optometrists which gives us the legal right to manage a range of eye conditions that might normally need to be referred to the hospital eye service. We will do our best to keep your eye care local and convenient unless you require a specialist opinion or ophthalmology care.

Neil and Johnathan both completed their NHS Scotland glaucoma management qualification (NESGAT) in 2022 and in April 2024 the Community Glaucoma Service was rolled-out in the Renfrewshire area. This means that many stable glaucoma patients can be safely discharged to us, saving long hospital visits and delays to follow ups. We can also offer private monitoring and management under certain circumstances and have longstanding connections with local eye surgeons for support and guidance.
